Oh, and the pattern calls for attached i-cord, i.e., you start at a corner and run up the side, then make a regular i-cord strap, then continue on down the other side, or something like that. I've never made attached i-cord before, but found several resources, including this one, which looks pretty good: I-Cord Tips and Techniques. I'll probably try a couple of different ones on a swatch before I commit, but I'm leaning toward not doing the one where you have to pick up all the stitches first. Anyone have any helpful suggestions?

I got my package from ThreadBear last night--boy, those guys are fast! My original plan was to start the Perfect Pouch after I finished the Albion vest, but it only took me about three hours before I caved and cast on for it. The vest is taking me a long time, for some reason, and it was really a nice break to knit on bigger needles with the larger yarn--Kureyon, which I had never used before. I can see a new obsession building . . .

Pictures this weekend, probably.

I've been sick for a couple of days and haven't felt like doing much at all, but that--whatever it was--seems to have passed.

I can't really say that I would recognize Christine Lavin if I heard her, but I've heard of her, of course, and she's a knitter. And she offers a backstage pass to her shows, as long as you bring your knitting with you! How cool is that? Via Delirious Cool.

I've always wanted to make this: Obi from Simply Knit. Isn't it gorgeous?!?

I placed my first ever order with Threadbear today: a "Perfect Pouch" handbag pattern and two skeins of Noro Kureyon, which I've never tried before. I have a lot of the Nature Wool (a LOT) that I want to use for felting, too, especially some lovely indigo blue, but since they were running a special on the pattern and the yarn, I thought I'd try it.
