I just accidentally ran across this site today , and thought I recognized some of the patterns--turns out many of them are the patterns featured in the Peace Fleece kits that I linked to over the weekend. Ordering one of these patterns would, I guess, defeat the whole purpose of the Peace Fleece thing, which is to sell Russian wool, but the kits were too expensive for me. I could, though, buy a pattern and use some of the yarn I already have . . . I especially like this one: Knitcrochetpatterns: Adult Shepherd's Jacket & Coat

Peace Fleece sells wool and needles, and kits containing some of the best looking jackets and vests I've seen anywhere. From the site:

Peace Fleece sells knitting yarns as well as knitting and felting accessories. Many of the people with whom Peace Fleece works overseas are in the midst of political, social or economic crisis and some are living in a war zone. Knitting is essential to the economic and emotional survival of the Bosnian and Croatian women who make the slipper socks we offer in our printed catalog. The Palestinian and Israeli shepherds who make our drop spindles, and from whose sheep come the weaving yarns, face terrorism on a daily basis. And the Russian farmers and craftspeople with whom we work confront a daily dose of chaos and despair.

There are also learn-to-knit kits for children and kits for felting small toys.
