Hand Knit Italian Greyhound Bags. A dog-in-a-bag!

Yesterday I succombed to temptation in the form of the Lawrence Annual Sidewalk Sale--basically I drove for forty minutes for the sole purpose of seeing if the Yarn Barn had anything good on sale. I ended up buying another couple of grab bags--one contained ten balls of Berroco Sensu-Wool and Smart Cotton, and another bag with eight various colored balls of a rayon boucle called Truffles, which looks lovely.

I guess it's dumb to keep buying up these odd lots, but, as I explained to one of my knitting friends last week, I have trouble with commitment.

Sunday, July 14, 2002:

I decided to make a little bag out of the Heirloom "swatch," but I couldn't figure out how to know when to stop so that I'd leave enough for a strap.

So I started an i-cord strap from the other end of the ball. This would be crazy with a bigger project, way too unwieldy. But kind of fun with a little thing like this.
