We just like to be sure
"We come down on the conservative side when it comes to closing campgrounds," said Joe Winkelmaier of the U.S. Public Health Service. "We just like to be sure when it comes to plague."
I would agree with that sentiment.

I was reading blogs yesterday and saw a camera phone pic that someone had snapped from the car showing the guy in the car next to her brushing his teeth. I can't remember where it was, or I'd link to it. I haven't seen that, but this morning when the car next to me started drifting over into my lane I braked, honked, and glanced over to see a woman looking in the rearview mirror and applying foundation with a make-up sponge.
I slowed down and let her get in front of me, and I followed her all the way downtown, watching as she applied the rest of her make-up, and somehow managed to avoid running into anyone, although I'm not sure how, since she continued to drift all over the road.

The net on the big screen
Interesting article about how Hollywood portrays the internet in movies: Hollywood's Take on the Internet Often Favors Fun Over Facts. (It's on the Wall Street Journal, but they're having a "ten day open house" so you don't have to be a subscriber to read it.)
Since I'm so familiar with the internet, it's always been a pet peeve of mine to see how movies treat things like email. I guess it makes sense that if something like that is a key plot point, you want it to be big and obvious and not open to interpretation.
