Myspace

David and I were playing around tonight and made Myspace pages. His makes a lot more sense, since he's a musician and there is a large community there for artists. Mine is just for fun.

London Calling

This is pretty cute: A Cellphone in the Shape of the Iconic Red Telephone Box

Matthew McNear, founder of C&D Wireless said "The London Calling mobile phone was an idea I had while driving down the road. Maybe I had heard a story about how, with the advent of cell phones, those familiar English telephone boxes were rapidly disappearing, and thought how ironic it would be if you combined those two ideas. How you could preserve the classic phone box design in the very object that is responsible for its disappearance."

David Knopfler Blog

I don't think I mentioned that David has started a Blog.

It's (at least so far) mostly political, so much of it is over my head, but it's interesting.

Good news is no news

I enjoyed this article from the L.A. Times: Good news is no news.

THERE ARE stories you won't see, hear or read today. The employment rate is 95.1%. About 29,564 domestic flights took off and landed without incident. Four million Iraqi children got safely to school. Meanwhile, their parents shopped, drove to work or otherwise went about their daily routines, mostly -- overwhelmingly -- without getting assassinated.

Passed on by Rob Brezsny - Freewill Astrology in his weekly newsletter.
