If you've ever been to a really large newsstand, you know how many of those magazines there are. They have magazines for extreme sports that you've never heard of, often sports with 'kite-' in their names -- kite-boarding, kite-tying, kite-fighting. There are magazines for people who build scale models of things, and people who re-enact things, and people who use yarn in baroque and unexpected ways.
