Google

Oh, look at Google today:

I love that! Today is Louis Braille's birthday. One of my very proudest accomplishments is that I can read Braille (not by touch, of course, but by sight. Which sort of defeats the purpose, I suppose . . . ).

I trained to be a Braille translator, but the program that I was working with disbanded, and I never pursued it, but I can still read it pretty well.

That's very cool! Braille is hard to learn. I have a friend who is going blind, and she tried but didn't feel it was worth it to learn yet. She had a very hard time with it. Of course, she was learning it by touch rather than sight.

I think it would be *terribly* hard to learn by touch; I can't even imagine how it's possible. But I know that necessity causes us to do a lot of things that we might not believe were possible until we have to do them.

Coolest. Random. Talent. EVER.
