It's a service that resembles what NetFlix does with DVDs, only in this case it's designer handbags.

For "only" $49.95/month, you are allowed to borrow a handbag from the site and yes, if you want more than one, you can borrow additional bags, up to 5 at a time, for an additional $49.95/month for each one. And each time you borrow a bag, you're charged a $9.95 shipping fee.

I would really be interested to see if anyone is taking advantage of the service. It's hard to imagine. I suppose the attraction is variety--if you could afford to spend $49/month to use someone else's handbag, couldn't you probably afford to buy your own?

I freely admit I love handbags, and have a few expensive ones, although none of the really expensive ones they have here.

It's an interesting concept, anyway. Sort of like leasing a car, I guess.
