HTML email

I just discovered how to send HTML email from a Mac! This is not trivial, it's something we've been struggling with for a couple of years. As far as we could determine, HTML email (email containing images and formatting) could only be sent successfully from a PC using Outlook. We tried innumerable times using Outlook Express on a Mac, and it just didn't work.

I know it's silly, but this really bothered me. We don't send out spam, but we do send out newsletters and invitations, and every time we had to send one, we had to go ask one of the guys who have PCs to do it for us.

But from a blurb in MacAddict this month, we saw that it can be done through Netscape, of all things. I tried it, using the email editor in Netscape 4.7 on my Mac, and it works perfectly. And it has, of course, always been available. I used to use Netscape for mail sometimes, but I haven't for a long time. Maybe I will now, if only so I don't forget.
