What We Carry
***

I am NEVER without my brown leather backpack that I purchased on my 25th birthday while living in NYC. The contents vary but a few things I must have at all times. Those being: UN-Petroleum Lip Jelly (I have two in there now - spice and coconut), one ball-point pen, one roller-ball pen, my filoFAX (three years old, black leather, zips all around and snaps on the front), my wallet (small, black leather and crammed with mostly junk), my checkbook (currently housing the delicious dots series from Checks in the Mail), book(s) (currently: Breathnach's Something More and The Seat of the Soul by G. Zukav), daily musings journal (wide-ruled Mead 3-subject notebook...only three more pages to fill front and back), and sport bottle (held Celestial Seasonings Country Peach Passion iced tea today).

The remainder of today's inventory is as follows: one size 4 diaper for my almost two year old daughter (boy, will I ever be glad when she is potty- trained!), Impact's fall 1998 catalogue of SARK gifts, a roll of stamps which I purchased today, keys to the house and car, the wrappers of about three mini Halloween peanut butter cups, a baseball cap (Stussi brand), sunglasses (without a case and now I can see that I have scratched the left lens! ARGHHH!!), a Starbuck's Coffee java jacket, $2.26 in SMALL change and $1.75 in quarters which were floating around in the bottom of this thing along with a little sand from last weeks trip to the beach, and dental floss (which I think I'll add to the list of things that I always carry.
