The daily inventory of the stuff I carry to work doesn't vary much, but here it is: 1 liter bottle of filtered water with an herb tea bag in it for flavor (Kiwi-Strawberry or Mango-Strawberry are the current favorites) Case Logic CD holder in purple and black with CD's ranging from Enya to Paul McCartney to classical (good thinking music). My purse, a black leather affair, with places to stash all my stuff: Checkbook with pen in an outside pocket Main open pocket: Black leather planner with a zipper, which carries all my needed and necessary information, except that which I need immediately, of course... Driver's license, Air life card, insurance cards, business cards, etc. A tangle of keys on a double key ring: car, house, sheds, freezer (!), 2 different mailbox keys, key to office, gas cap and ignition key for pickup Lip balm (Avon Dew Kiss) A disc with drivers on it for my friend's modem Middle zippered pocket: Wallet with ATM cards, dang little cash. ID card holder with pictures of my kids and extra ID, along with certain mementos: a note that I got in Junior High about my cat being home after she was lost for three days, a poem written by my cousin when she was 12 about old age Side snapped pocket holds: Pair of dark grey super-stretchy gloves for when it's cold (I carry these all year 'round - how weird is that?) 1 ounce bottle of aromatherapy hand lotion (Avon Sunrise) - nice citrusy lift for when I'm in a bad mood Reserve tube of lip balm - this one's pineapple Solid perfume - vanilla musk Travel toothbrush and small tube of Crest toothpaste This bunch of stuff doesn't vary much on a daily basis, although a few times a week I'm also carrying business checks or deposits, outgoing mail, or grocery lists with coupons. Kinda boring - but I tend to leave the non-essentials at their point of most frequent use! How about another survey: what's in the top drawer of the desk?
