Today, I have a tote bag from the Museum of Indian Arts in Santa Fe, which I bought on a great vacation to New
Mexico and Arizona a few years ago.
Inside, are my wallet, containing cash, credit cards, ID, ATM card, pictures of my husband and daughter and a few
postage stamps in case I get the urge to send someone some snail mail - but the stamps are getting very old.
Also, a makeup bag, with just a few essentials - lipstick, compact, comb, tissues, and a small bottle of generic
excedrin.
Walkman with tape # 11-12 of a 12 side set by Pema Chodron, the wonderful Buddhist nun who runs Gampo Abbey in
Nova Scotia.
Two books - The Hainting of Hill House by Shirley Jackson and Bearing Witness by Bernie Glassman. Have read both
before but am reading them again. One for entertainment, one for inspiration.
Three pairs of glasses - prescription reading ones, sunglasses, and a pair of those 'magnifiers' from Macy's, but
they are also sunglasses and are great for reading while standing on the bus stop or when having lunch out in the
sun.
Small card case containing my bus pass and my card key for my office. And the business card of a silversmith who
sells the most gorgeous jewelry from a stand out on the Embarcadero on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. He is a
"babe magnet".... a dangerous guy to get anywhere
near. :)
But today is Tuesday, so what the heck...
And that's it for my tote bag tale today!
