What We Carry
***

Judi

When I was a very a teenager, many moons ago, I often visited my grandparents on week-ends.
I stayed from Friday evening until Sunday evening.
I packed enough "stuff" to always prompt my dad to ask how long I planned to stay!
I took my record player and lots of records (45's).
Now I am dating myself!
I packed several bottles of nail polish and a bottle of remover.
Always movie magazines.
Lots of writing paper and my trusty Shaeffer fountain pen.
Several changes of clothing.
My busy work, usually knitting.
All this for a week-end. Such memories.
When I go to work, I always pay attention to other people walking in. The women always have a purse and a tote bag of some sort. The men are empty handed. Amazing, how can the men stand to be parted from their "stuff"??
