I alternate between a Wal-Mart backpack and a nice purse (a nice one, stiff honey-brown leather, about 12 inches high and 11 inches across with thinnish straps). Weekdays are usually purse days, and weekends are usually backpack days. In my purse today is: Leather Daytimer - about 5"x7". Green and brown leather. It holds the addresses and phones numbers of EVERYONE, bills to be paid (none at the moment!!), my Weight Watchers membership book (which tracks my weight loss), the Weight Watchers points counter, and the Weight Watchers food companion book (which has the points for most foods), my bank book, a mini guide for saying the rosary, and a pen. This daytimer closes with a strap so it's great for holding those bills in place. I don't use this to schedule things. Leather Ladies Wallet - about 7.5"x 3". Black leather. This holds my business cards, business cards people give me (my favourite is the one for this florist I frequently use that's in Toronto, even though I currently live in Ottawa), the car insurance and ownership slips, chequebook, 13 stamps (Canadian, 45 cents each), phone cards, credit cards I don't use (currently 3), "club" cards (i.e, Subway, Kernals), a note from a friend of my mom's who lives in Santa Monica which has the friend's work phone number, Weight Watchers "Fast Food" companion book - doesn't fit in the daytimer and I don't hardly use it. Change purse - my sister got it for me in Spain a few years ago. Black leather with mulitcoloured leather trim. It holds a few cards and bills (paper money), change, etc. Currently has: my driver's license, a business card for this tanning place I go to (with the hours, etc.), my Blockbuster video rental card (use it a lot), a bank card for an account which I just pay my student loan out of, my Amex Gold, my bank card for my main bank account, a receipt from lunch yesterday (Indian buffet, $20.58 - I treated a friend from work). In the side pocket: lubricating drops for my eyes (I wear contact lenses), work security card to get into the parking lot, building, etc., L'Oreal Rouge Pulp Liquid Lipcolour "EXPOSED", and finally, keys (my apartment, husband's mom's house, my mom's car, my car, my mom's house, "the CLUB", my apartment building, my bike lock, my mailbox. The key chain is from the car leasing company, is in heavy grey metal and says "Hav-A-Kar Leasing" on it.). No hairbrush, no gum, no gun, no snacks, no books, no kleenex, no mad money. And no rosary I just realized. So why the little rosary booklet??
