Huge! I've seen these at a spiritual shop (phoenixanddragon.com) near me. They're beautiful. Was it terribly expensive? I've never checked out the price, but love them. You'd love that shop, btw. I wish you lived closer! They do have an online site, but it's just not the same as going in and puttering around with the things.
It was a gift. After Barbara Bretton's mother died, Barbara was going through her things and found the amethyst, and said that she thought I should have it, so she sent it to me! I love it. I have it here at the office on my bookcase with (as you saw) a votive candle in front of it for prayers with intention.
