I redesigned Tealeaves months ago, but never put
it live. We talked about doing something more creative with the readings themselves, but I
just never got around to working on it, and couldn't think of anything creative anyway.
But I looked at the old site this morning, and it looked so old and tired, that I just couldn't
stand it, and went ahead and put up the new design. Maybe that will give me some incentive
to finish it. We also need to write the "Lore" page. I originally had a bunch of tea-related links
there, but when I checked this morning, a couple of them weren't working, so I decided it
was a bad idea to keep a list of links that I'd have to keep checking, so I 86'ed that and
just put up a "Coming soon" for the time being. Oh, and since I bought the image, I didn't want to waste it.
The company I bought it from (Eyewire) has since gone away, too. The web is ever evolving,
I guess.
Speaking of evolving, I'll be turning 50 in November. I've been trying to look on it as
an adventure, something positive, and I've actually been pretty successful at it so far.
I wanted to do something special, and I thought of doing a website called "Fifty Things."
I couldn't really visualize what those fifty things would be, though, so I ended up just
doing a list of Fifty Things which, so far, is
only up to 38 or 39 or so, but will be up to 50 by the time my birthday rolls around.
