Elephants and bears, oh my!
It had been a long, long time since I'd visited the Africam site. I don't even remember the whole sequence of events last time, but I know it was offline for awhile, then when it finally came back, it had become so complicated that it would hardly run on my computer, and it was also so commercial, asking for money at every turn, that I became dissolutioned with it and quit going.
Today I got some advertising email from them, and clicked on the link to go unsubscribe, but decided to check out the site while I was there. I didn't really expect much, but there were elephants on one of them:
Some of the cameras are on stationary mounts, and some are pointed, I'm sure, and I don't know which are which, and I don't suppose it matters. It kind of does, because it's cooler, I think, to catch site of an animal just wandering around who just happens to walk in front of the camera, rather than having someone driving around looking for them, but it's still cool nonetheless.
Later in the afternoon, I went to the Polar Bears site (the link to the cam is under "See Bears"), and there was a bear hanging out in front of the camera, looking at the camera:
He didn't find it particularly interesting, though, because he started yawning.
Or maybe it was just his bedtime. Good night.
