Another gloomy day
Another wet, cold, gloomy day. But I did manage to sleep in--until 9:00! It took two tries, though. I woke up for the first time before 6:00, and thought for awhile I might have to go ahead and get up, but I dreaded the thought. It seems so cruel to get up on the weekend before the time I have to get up during the week. I eventually feel back asleep, woke up again around 7:30, thought again I'd get up, then finally, blessedly, fell back asleep until 9:00.
Both cats were with me. Dinah, especially, loves the electric blanket. Bob's gone duck hunting this weekend, so I had really hoped to get to languish late in bed at least one morning.
9:00 was just about right--I had an appointment at 11:00 to get my hair cut and colored. I had time to check my email, do my ritual Saturday morning bill paying, eat a bowl of Rice Krispies, then brush my teeth and hair and wash my face, and get to the salon in time for my appointment.
The novel proceeds apace. I just hit my word count goal for today, so I'm going to stop and do something else for awhile. I don't know whether it's actually going to turn into a book or not, but it's an interesting exercise, if nothing else.
