I had to get my driver's license renewed before my birthday, so I was going to start out doing that yesterday morning. I wasn't sure where the office was, but I had a vague idea, and I found it without too much trouble. The problem was, though, that they were closed. They're closed on Mondays, and it never occurred to me that they would be open on Saturdays, but apparently they are. Too bad my birthday is on Saturday--I didn't really want to count on being able to do it that day. So I went again this morning, and this time they were open, and I got it pretty quickly.

I made a conscious decision not to smile; I'm not sure why. I think it was a mistake. I look terribly glum and and unhappy, and now I'm stuck with it for six years. Oh well. I guess it wouldn't be right if a driver's license picture was actually a good picture.
