The flower garden above the rock wall surrounding the parking lot. The parking lot is on a considerably lower level than the street; we've wondered what happens to the parking lot when there's a lot of rain. There hasn't been enough rain when we've been here to find out.
The front of the building. It's the brick building on the right; we have the entire second floor.
View from the deck.

My favorite picture of my office, looking from the outside in:
And one that shows the bookcase with my scratch-and-dent ivy plant on top--I found it last year way in the back of the nursery on a table full of sad looking plants. I took care of it, and fed and watered it, and it turned into a beautiful plant. Without much natural light here, though, I don't know how well it will do. I should probably move it out in front of a real window occasionally.
You can see my little cooler, a "Little Playmate," on the floor under my desk. We still don't have a refrigerator. Bob got me the cooler; I feel like a construction worker carrying my lunch in it, but it's better than not having anything cool to drink all day.
Oh, and the camp chair in the corner, and the "Norton" calendar . . . the little "plant" on the floor is my office Christmas tree, and the rug is there in case Simon or Diehard feel the need to get a change of scenery. If Dave isn't around, Simon is always too busy pacing to come in and lie down, but Diehard has once or twice.
I want to do some kind of fiber art piece for the opposite wall, I think, but I haven't exactly figured out what yet. A quilt seems too ambitious, but something on that order.
