We shall find peace. We shall hear angels, we shall see the sky sparkling with diamonds.
~ Anton Pavlovich Chekhov
I got a new computer today at work, so I downloaded some pretty new wallpaper
from Pixture
Studios.

I spent what seemed like most of the day moving software from the old computer
to the new one, finding cool wallpaper and new icons; I was so happy to find
the wallpaper with two coordinating images! I'm using a mixture of icons, some
from Pixture Studios and some from
Colheres, my absolute
favorite icons in the world.
Many years ago when I was doing counted cross-stitch, I made a picture for my mother.
It was stitched on light blue Aida cloth, and it was a circular image--a little blonde
boy with his head down on the table beside a yellow bowl and spoon, a window with a
dark blue sky and moon behind him. A late night snack of cereal, maybe,
or a bowl of bread and milk, and he fell asleep before he could be taken up to bed.
The colors in that picture are almost exactly the colors in the cup and book image
in the corner here, and every time I see it, especially if I have the site up on the
monitor and I've walked away from it and walk back, it makes me think of that picture.
I'll have to take a photograph of it sometime, if I can remember.
