Willa's Journal
Wednesday, January 23, 2002: Going Digital

Someone wrote last week that in addition to Mac and PC, and the 87 different varieties of Windows, there's also mobile media, in this case the Palm OS, which I had completely forgotten about.

So I downloaded an emulator and played around with it for awhile, and then I finally said to myself, you know, your time is worth something, too, why don't you just buy one of the damn things? So I did. I bought a Handspring Visor Deluxe, and I love it.

Handspring Visor Deluxe

I've been busy entering my entire datebook and addressbook, downloading fiction and games, and when I wasn't doing that, I was busily recoding this month's journal entries into a format more suitable for handhelds.

If you have a PDA and use Avantgo, you can subscribe to the mobile version and have it delivered to your Visor or Palm Pilot when you sync up. I haven't totally figured out actually creating a real channel yet, but as soon as I get some more time, I'll do that.

Next I think I'm going to do a mobile version of Tealeaves. I think that would be a fun thing to have.
