Friday, January 26, 2001: Different socks

The old woman impression the other night was enhanced by the fact that I was wearing an ankle length plaid flannel nightgown, a sweater, and socks. I was wearing the same outfit last night, and Bob kept laughing at me. I ignored him, though--he's doing some sort of experiment to see how low we can get our gas bill, and I'm trying to be a good sport about it, so I'm putting on as many clothes as I can, and trying to be stoic.

My mother gave me the nightgown a couple of years ago for Christmas, and I haven't really gotten much use out of it until now. I think I've worn it every night this week. Different socks, though.

I made some very cool business cards today at VistaPrint.com. You can design your card using one of their templates, then get 250 free cards just paying for postage and handling, which was $9.95, I think, for standard (7 days) shipping. You could also choose "slow" shipping (3 weeks) for $4.95.

I need to get some promotional postcards made, and I might do that there, too, once I see the cards. Postcards were something like $39.95 for 250, which didn't sound like a bad deal.
