My dreams are an integral part of each 24 hour cycle. I don't view them in a voyeuristic sense, I see them as direct experience. They are lived, not watched like TV. ~~ Nick Bantock

Tuesday, February 2, 2004:

I had ordered a couple of plants from npr.org. They arrived, and I watched through the winow as the delivery guys took them out of the truck, set them on the lawn, then cleaned them up by removing dead leaves and kind of sprucing them up, then watered them. I thought that was cool that they'd do that before they actually delivered them.

One of them was a philodendron that I'd ordered for Dennis. It cost $117, and once they brought the plant in, I said that it was an awfully small plant for $117. They just kind of shrugged, so I looked for the catalog to show them the one in the picture, which was much larger and shinier, and had variegated leaves. But I couldn't find the catalog, even though I looked everywhere. Right before I woke up, I thought, oh, I should have thought to look online!
