Festive!

This morning's disgusting task was cleaning up after Dinah, who was walking around the house throwing up cat food mixed with red tinsel wrapping cord. Festive! I've got to remember that she doesn't just play with cord and things like that, she eats them. And big pieces of it, too, like two inches long--why in the world would she chew off a piece like that and swallow it?

We always have to be very careful not to leave rubber bands out where she can get them. They're her favorite, and we'll find them in the litter box (processed) if we forget and let her get one.

She figured out that we sometimes stick them in the drawers in the bathroom vanities, so I'll often get up in the morning to find all the drawers open, or wake up in the night to the sound of her rustling in them, looking for treasure.

This morning's debacle was my fault entirely. Barb's gifts were tied with the red tinsel, and I gave Dinah one of the pieces, thinking that she'd just toss it around and play with it. I'm not sure how I forgot that she looks on anything like that as a food item.
