Home again home again

It's wonderful to be able to go on vacation, and we had a great time, but it's always nice to get back home and get back to normal--mostly, sleeping in our own bed with our own cats.

They didn't seem overly glad to see us, but then Bob's mother had been over earlier in the day to check on them, and she said she held Pyewacket for awhile. Dinah wouldn't come out from behind the blinds, but that's okay. She came out when we got home anyway.

She was a little standoffish for an hour or so, but it didn't take her long to warm up. She spent most of the evening on my lap, and most of the night, I think, sleeping next to me. Usually she will leap off the bed if I so much as turn over, but not last night. In fact, when I did turn over, she climbed up and laid on my hip for awhile. Pretty funny. And she wouldn't get up when the alarm went off, I had to pull my legs up and get out of bed without disturbing her, like I used to have to do with Doña. So I guess she was pretty glad to have us home.

Pyewacket, of course, spent the entire night either under the covers with Bob or lying on her back in the middle of the bed between us. And she never wants to get up in the morning.
