Restless night
The cats and I had kind of a restless night. The windows were open in the bedroom, which always makes them crazy. I don't know if it's the wind, or the smells from outside, or what it is. I think Dinah was up most of the night, running around the house from window to window.
I woke up several times, and finally got up sometime in the middle of the night and closed the windows, then woke up again a little later, hot, and got up and opened them again. Toward dawn I woke up and looked down and saw them both asleep at the end of the bed, so I assume she wore herself out.
When I got up, the sun was out, but it cooled off and got cloudy toward mid-day, and rained a little in the afternoon. I kept expecting a thunderstorm, but aside from a LOT of wind, nothing major ever happened.
I worked out in the yard a little--I potted the two geraniums I bought yesterday, and put them out on the front porch, and I raked out some of the leaves from the fall that we hadn't cleaned up yet. I filled up a couple of big bags, but decided to stop. While I probably couldn't hurt myself at this point, I still don't like to overdo the physical stuff while I'm only three months out from surgery. It was enough, anyway.
As promised, the poppy, which, by the time I went out today, had turned into two, so I took a new picture:
I've been doing laundry and freelance computer stuff today, and Pyewacket got cuddly a little while ago. She almost never sits on my lap, but she gets desperate when Bob's out of town. It takes her a couple of days, but she eventually warms up to me if I'm the only available option.
"What are you looking at??"
Dinah, meanwhile, was fast asleep in the window.
