This looks like an interesting Amazon reader list of tarot books, many of which I already own: Listmania! All Things Tarot [ posted by Willa @ 12:02 ] [ link me ] (0) comments ----- I just realized that I never actually explained here what prompted my new-found fascination with the Tarot. It's recounted here: Willa's Journal: Magic. Basically, I found a nearly complete set of The Dragon Tarot in the parking lot at work. It had been rained on, and some of the cards had obviously been run over, but it wasn't in bad shape, and I thought it was very exciting.
I'd always been aware of the Tarot, of course, but never really paid much attention to it. I had one deck--the Rohrig--but I had just bought it because I liked the way it looked, and I don't think I ever even did any readings with it. I also had a copy of the Tiny Universal Waite deck, some of which I'd used in collage. And last weekend while I was looking for something else in the basement, I ran across a copy of The Tarot Handbook, which I have absolutely no memory of buying. So while it's a new obsession, it's certainly not a new interest. No tarot icons, but tarot and icons. Some really nice astrological icons, plus some others, and a section on tarot interpretation.
