Tibetan Portable Altar This traveling altar will provide you with all the accoutrements you need to support your meditation practice, whether you are trekking through the Himalayas or sitting lotus-style at home. Our handmade carrying box includes a ceramic incense burner; a fragrant wrist mala (or Buddhist rosary) made of herbal incense; a "mani" or prayer stone; a tiny Buddha made of resin, atop a pedestal; incense sticks; and a notepad and pencil for writing down your insights. The eye-catching red box, made from the lokta bark found around Mt. Everest, is crafted in Katmandu by a family of traditional papermakers. The unusual hand-stamped print is a Tibetan alphabetical chart taken from a teaching text. Practical yet inspiring, our portable altar makes a wonderful gift for someone on a spiritual path.
